Twitter is down after experiencing a worldwide outage caused by a service disruption issues, with people from all over the world currently unable to access the social networking platform. Taken from Bleeping Computer news article,
“We are currently investigating issues people are having accessing Twitter. We will keep you updated on whats happening,” explains Twitter’s status page in an update posted at 6:58PM UTC.
When trying to load any Twitter page users are currently seeing the following error: “Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.”
In an update published at 19:01 UTC, Twitter’s API status page also says that their team is currently “investigating dependencies for Twitter data. Scope of affected APIs is undetermined at this time.” At the moment all Twitter APIs are impacted by the ongoing outage, after Twitter initially reported that only Volume Streams & PowerTrack were affected by degraded performance issues. Twitter also says that most of their APIs will be affected starting July 15, after “all connections to the Twitter API (and all other Twitter domains) will require TLS 1.2.”
